Week 351, Saturday 6th until Friday 12th March 2021.

Misfits Mid-Life Crisis Adventures in East London (Week 10 (the first of our slowly coming out of lockdown).

Week 351 Saturday 6thuntil Friday 12thMarch 2021.

This week it was my nephew Leo’s 6th B’Dday.

Another week of doing very little apart from work, at home.  Don’t worry next week there are two anniversaries I want to bore you about.

The Bird Killer from last week has been back.

This week Parents all over UK breathed a sigh of relief as children went back to school.  I’m not a parent, but I also felt a little more relaxed as two of the very noisy (but sweet) children from next door have returned to education.  However there very young shouty and screaming sister remains at home.  There have been times when I am convinced she has upped the volume to 11.

This is how the Bird Killer should be tagged.

My friend and I have fought back by having the on from late morning, turning it off or pausing when I receive a call.  I am hoping that the little one will be going to nursery soon, if the parents don’t sign her up for one, I might have to it instead.

The neighbour’s garden looks lovely.

The noise next door (I have only been next door once many months ago when the little ones got hold of the remote and turned up the volume to 12) seems to be directly behind the wall where I sit (moving to a different part of the room or room would be difficult).   Normally I dampen stray noise drifting through the wall by having an earbud in my left ear playing either a podcast or watching a programme when not on a call.  This is also how I get through yet another working day.  You only have to look at the bottom of this or any of the other rambles to see that in a seven day period I tend to listen and watch a lot, it really is therapy for me.

Looking up.

As the weather gets better, the kids from next door will start to play in the garden more, so there shouldn’t be as much noise inside the actual house.  Of course I shouldn’t really complain, I could be inside next doors house where it must be deafening at times.

I like to think this women was carrying her own personal Stargate.

And Now For Something Completely Different…..

Earlier this week just after Twelve noon, I head the letter box flick open and closed quickly.  On the door mat was a take-a-way menu.  Walking away I noticed a man on the green next to the house with a cardboard box, he appeared to be flat packing it.  I wasn’t sure if he had been passing and had seen the box and became interested in it.  Then I noticed in his hand was a bundle of leaflets, he was the man visiting house after house posting the menus.  He put his backpack (which I assume was full of menus) on the damp grass, he then carefully positions the cardboard on the ground.  It was when he took his shoes off did I realise that he was about to pray.

The first Daff in the front garden.

I didn’t want to intrude, he was not aware that I had seen him.  This was happening during my lunch so I walked away to eat another mouthful, but did return every few minutes partly because I was interested but also I was a little concerned that he might get grief from someone passing.  I don’t have a faith, but I do respect anyone and everyone who does.  It would have been terrible if this man was abused because of his devotion. I am pleased to report that 15 mins or so later he had left and taken his cardboard with him.  Seeing this man spend a few minutes in silent prayer and meditation during his busy day did give me a little hope in humanity.

Chewie is entertaining even when sitting quiet eating.

And Finally……

My friend while washing a large Courgette, rubbing it up and down suggestively looked at me and said she felt a little dirty (I know this is pathetic,  but its content).

The Ben & Jerry’s free scoop spade, is just for scale.

Is it wrong I didn’t enjoy the first few episodes of WandaVision as much as I should have. Does this mean I will have to start watching drippy programmes like “Heartbeat(1992 until 2010. How did this drama run for so long!!!!) instead.

I am ready for another “Comic Relief”.
