Week 325, Saturday 5th until Friday 11th September 2020.

Misfits Mid-Life Crisis Adventures in East London & Surrey (via Gatwick Airport, West Sussex).

Week 325 Saturday 5th until Friday 11thSeptember 2020.

Happy Bday this week to Ian. And Happy Anniversary Star Trek.

Working from home really works and suits me.  But if you’re bored of sitting in the living room you could do what so many others are doing and choosing to work remotely not from the living room but further afield.  I read an article which mentioned that the Bahamas has started a special visa which allows a person to live and work on the island for a year.  I’m not a sun lover, but the idea of sitting beside a pool or on a beach while answering the annoying calls I received every day is appealing.

This week’s Testicle Brothers update.

This got me thinking if only the thick blue cable that runs from the internet box in the hallway to the work computer was a few hundred metres long instead of just 8.  I would be able to sit under a tree in a local park watching birds, squirrels going about their business while working.  That then conjured up an image of coloured cables criss crossing roads and pavements to parks and greens allowing people to work from a different location, experts have said that being surrounded by nature helps lower stress levels.  I know what you’re thinking, what about the trip hazard to pigeons, cats, urban foxes and other creatures using the pavements.  It wouldn’t take a clever dick long to create a system of covers to stop paws, toesy wosies, and other excuses for feet from getting trapped. These coloured cables would also brighten up the normal grey surroundings of pavements and tarmac.

It’s pretty, it was tasty, it was tiny.

Working from the park would for me be relaxing, but I have to admit that being located in the Caribbean would be much more fun.  If I stock up on factor 50, would you could pay for my visa?

Rescued this little one from being a neighbours cat play thing.

And Now For Something Completely Different……

Its probably not worth much, but to me its treasure.

This week I visited my storage.  I need to start making regularly visits to see what I can sell, keep and junk.  When I unlocked the door my heart sank when confronted with all my treasured (my precious”, said in my best Gollum voice) possessions.

I always wonder what other people are storing.

Certainly bags of old clothes can definitely go to a charity shop (I need to find out if there accepting donations under the current circumstances) these are clothes I haven’t worn in years.  Taser is a reason they have been hidden because if the capitals Metropolitan Fashion Police saw them the wearer would be tasered straight away.

Cheese.

Its time to make tough decisions, I am not able to just store everything for ever, its costing me a small fortune.  Out of all the shiz there are a few gems that are worth some money (not a lot, but something) which i would like to hang on to.  But the majority won’t be worth much because of the quantities produced.  At this time I really need to concentrate on saving and making extra money to fund next year’s travel plans.

I Love to watch the birds, while working.

And Finally……

When I got home on wet evening, walking to and from the car I used the torch making sure that I didn’t tread on any snails wondering around.  I didn’t inspect any found to see it Sandra was out and about in the driveway.

Its always nice to see Chewie.

Bought knee pads for when I do my physio exercises.  When the box arrived I realised that there was one pad.  I naturally (and wrongly) assumed that because I have two knees i was buying two pads.  Lesson learned this week, always read the small print on the screen.

A classic album in storage.

I spoke to a lady who was very vague while telling me her name and address. Because of data protection issues I was concerned she was being prompted. When asked, she explained that she was breast feeding at the moment which was why her mind was preoccupied.

You looking at Me?

Feeling very excited while travelling through the Dartford tunnel, because I could still hear the radio.  Up until my last visit I always lost the radio signal when entering the tunnel.  Finally the “my” toll money has been spent wisely on a upgrade.

Found out this doodle of John Nathan-Turner (Doctor Who Producer, 1980 to 1989) is to be published with an article about him i have written.

Name of the Week.  I spoke to a Mr Normal, who in my uneducated opinion was far from normal.

This is why i love subtitles.
