Part 2 of April’s visit to London (and surrounding counties).
This week’s blog as it says above is the continuation of my friend April adventure in London. For full disclosures there some pictures that were “technically” taken last week. But because that blog was so full of shiz which was threatening to flood over the edge and make a mess on that expensive flooring you have recently laid. “I was so excited to be back at my fave building in the world“.
In this week’s ramble April visit’s my favourite building in the world and at one-point was feet from a genuine “Hollywood” superstar (unfortunately there are no pictures of this). There is also a showdown with “Lunge” in a bowling alley. Plus, April meets members of my family and makes new friends.

Early Tuesday morning I said goodbye to April, her time in the UK was over. Because she needed to be at St Pancras before the tubes started I drove her into town. During the drive, I got lost which involved a U turn that might get me into trouble (fingers crossed it doesn’t) stopped a couple of times to check where we were and pulled into a petrol station to ask for directions. The man behind the counter was very helpful confirming that we were on the correct road, but did question why I was using a paper map! All I said was “why not”, personally you can’t beat a good old-fashioned map in my opinion!

At St Pancras, the sun was coming up over Kings Cross station, so I thought it would be nice to have one last picture. However, after being stationary for a few seconds (no exaggeration) a man came running to inform us that I couldn’t park there! The result was no last picture with the sunrise in the background and the goodbye was very short and sweet. While trying to wave goodbye as I steered the car around, I suddenly remembered a note that I had written the night before (this was the 5th draft) which was thrown out of the window for April to catch. Not quite the ending to the week I had hoped, but it will be memorable. With tears rolling down my cheeks I was transported back 33 years to Vancouver station when we said goodbye after our journey from Ontario. After a lovely week together in London, I really felt sad and upset that it was time to say goodbye again.

During the last week one important part of my life met other important aspects of my life. If honest I never thought they would ever meet, I am really pleased that they did.

April, a week ago you only knew me in Blighty. Now you know MOZ and Mum, who think you are very special. Then there is Lunge and Anoodle & Jbomb who all really enjoyed spending time with you. I know for a fact that you are always welcome to visit and stay with us. Thank you for an amazing week, the reality of work and normal life is an issue, but I will make positives out of any negatives, and remember what you told me. Thank you for being my friend these last 33 years and thanks for visiting. Happy travels in France and Germany have a safe journey home. Lots of love your friend Dana.

Talking about movie franchises and how they are cash cow. April came up with the term “money moo”.
At Liverpool Street station sat on a train in the front carriage waiting to leave. A woman with a very squeaky pink case on wheels made the train driver open the cab door to look down the carriage because he was worried there was a fault with the train. This made everyone including the slightly embarrassed lady laugh.
